Metallica has confirmed that its record-breaking M72 World Tour will be extended into a third year. This comes with the announcement of 21 North American shows spanning April, May, and June 2025. The Metallica Stadium Tour is sure to be one of the must-see tours of 2025.

The Tour
Since opening in April 2023, M72 in Amsterdam has welcomed Metallica, drawing three million fans and earning praise from the media. The tour will end in 2024 with four nights in Mexico City, entertaining over 250,000 fans during two No Repeat Weekends.
The M72 World Tour’s 2025 itinerary will continue the hallowed No Repeat Weekend tradition. Each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups. These will include the band’s first Nashville shows in five years on May 1 and 3 at Nissan Stadium. Metallica’s will also return to Tampa after 15 years on June 6 and 8 at Raymond James Stadium. Furthermore, they confirmed their Bay Area hometown play on June 20 and 22, with performances at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The Twist
The Metallica Stadium Tour will feature single shows with full production, including its large in-the-round stage, at two college football stadiums: JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York, on April 19, and Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, on May 7, which coincides with over 20 years of “Enter Sandman” being played for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
The M72 World Tour in 2025 will feature performances at football stadiums and two festival headlining events. The first is on April 12 at Sick New World in Las Vegas. Metallica will also headline Sonic Temple at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, with shows on May 9 and 11.

Charity
As always, a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. In addition, Established in 2017 as a way to give back to communities that have supported Metallica over the years, All Within My Hands has raised over $15 million – providing $8.2 million in grants to career and technical education programs including the ground-breaking Metallica Scholars Initiative, now in its sixth year, over $3.6 million to combat food insecurity, more than $3.5 million to disaster relief efforts.
